All due respect, I love this show more than anyone but I'm wondering if anybody else has been a little bit bummed about how the show marched in place for two years and now seems content to just deal with every character in a five minute summary. And are we going to be left without answers to some very burning questions over the years? Namely...
This always bugged me. How did Paulie Walnuts and Chris fail to kill the Russian in the middle of the woods, find no body and never even have to explain to the Russian mobsters who launder Tony's money what happened? That was one of the first egregious errors made in the program. Just sloppy...
Paulie Walnuts murders a close friend of his mother's, steals her money and we never even hear about an investigation? He assaults the kid who owns the refuse business, extorts 4 grand a month after tony has promised his mother he won't be hurt and we never hear about it again?
Some completely new character who is either Hesh's mistress or wife and who has never been seen before appears and then dies in the same episode?
Chris shoots a fellow member of AA to death after already having a long history of violent interactions with the same guy in an organization where others would know Chris very well and again their are no ramifications?
Tony spends a whole episode thinking about whacking Paulie Walnuts and then comes home and does absolutely nothing about it?
Ade gets whacked after copping to FBI connections, we see numerous sequences indicating that Carmela may somehow figure out what happened and then suddenly this story line disappears.
I can't wait for Sunday, but I suspect the show will leave more questions than it resolves. My prediction: Tony will be arrested, Meadow murdered, Paulie Walnuts will be the agent of Tony's doom which may resolve some of the questions I have raised. Now all I have to do is figure out how to spend future Sunday nights.
